Some tragedies are set to beautiful music. In April of 2021, TLC UK published a video on YouTube concerning two women, one of whom has taken drastic steps to appear as a man. Sadly, this is not their twist. The twist is something far more heart-wrenching: the woman who made herself appear as a man became pregnant and gave birth to a newborn baby. I weep for this innocent child and cannot imagine all the deranged and contorted things he or she will be taught. During the whole production, peaceful piano music played in the background to drown out any screaming consciences.
This child is growing up in a twisted, dysfunctional, unhealthy environment where their mind will be forced into unreason. This is the consequence of our culture’s acceptance of many sins. This sweet, innocent baby has been given to those who will deliberately deprive what is necessary for healthy growth.
Consider Genesis 19:4-5, when Lot had brought two strangers into his home in Sodom: “Before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, surrounded the house, both young and old, all the people from every quarter; and they called to Lot and said to him, ‘Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may have relations with them.’”
Both young and old gathered and demanded these strangers be handed over to be raped all night. Young and old alike were so ravenous that they nearly broke down the door of Lot’s house before they were blinded by the power of God and were subsequently destroyed with fire and brimstone. How did the young become so depraved? Through abusive, addled parents.
Parents, protect your children. Many are trying to confuse them. Guide them on the straight path provided by God through His Word (Eph. 6:4; Gen. 1:27).
